Andy Shea - owner of Dragon Rehab holds a Master's Degree in Sports Physiotherapy and has gained a huge amount of experience working as a sports physio at professional clubs like Manchester United FC; Newcastle Falcons RFC; Cardiff City FC and Cardiff Rugby. The outcomes and results that can be achieved with professional men and women in their chosen sports are completely transferable to those outside of the professional circles, but up until now, this kind of expertise has been hard to access. Dragon Rehab firmly believes that every athlete, gym-goer, weekend warrior and occasional exerciser deserves the same high level of rehab programming as a professional, and the same high level results.

“That feeling I get seeing a client overcome the challenges of pain and injury to make a successful return to sports is the reason I love being a Physio!"

- Andy progressed through the ranks at Cardiff Blues from 2002-2013. During that time the club won the EDF trophy and the Amlin European Challenge Cup.

- Between 2013-17 he held the title 'Head of medicine and sports science' for Cardiff City FC Academy where he designed and implemented the club's groundbreaking Athletic Development Curriculum. Dragon Rehab is proud to support the

Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Gavin Alan Pugh was the founder of a company named Dragon Soccer which operated in Minnesota, USA. It was a soccer coaching company that he set up and successfully ran from 2010 until he sadly passed away in 2016 after bravely battling Motor Neurone Disease. Originally from Wales, he was a great friend and inspiration to everyone he met. We spent over 25 years as great friends, negotiating the sometimes challenging events that life threw at us, but always with one eye on future successes. The courage that he showed throughout his life in following his dreams, forging a soccer coaching company from nothing and then in fighting for as long as he was able against MND, was inspiring and unforgettable.

Gavin was a proud Welshman, and so it made total sense for him to utilise the Welsh Dragon as part of his company name and logo. And so, as the inspiration for launching this website, celebrating my own nationality and honouring my good friend’s life and successful company, Dragon Rehab was born.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND Association) is a British charity, operating in EnglandWales and Northern Ireland, established in 1979 by a group of volunteers to coordinate care, support, and research for people affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is a form of motor neurone disease (MND) (also known as Charcot disease, ALS or, in the United States,  Lou Gehrig's disease).

The association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that funds and promotes global research into the disease and provides support for people affected by Motor Neurone Disease. It is a membership organisation with over 9,000 members forming a national and local network that provides information and support alongside fighting for improved services. It has over 7,000 active volunteers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and around 170 paid staff, whose specialist skills and knowledge are dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by MND.

Dragon Rehab aims to support this important charity through spreading the word about the important work that they do and the support that they can offer people who have received this diagnosis and also their families.
